Maximise Your Business Growth - 2006
Real
Groovy director, Marty
O'Donnell, was the keynote speaker for the
2006
Marty shared
the story
behind the retail chain’s success. Real Groovy Records is now
one of New Zealand’s largest retailers of new and second-hand
music, games, books and DVD’s, but like most the company had
humble beginnings.
Marty spoke about how he and business partner Chris Hart dealt with, and
overcame issues, common to all small and medium sized businesses
relating to employment, future-proofing their business and
financing their dream.
Real Groovy has
grown from one small Auckland store to a multi-million dollar
chain of national retail outlets and online purchasing.
Listening to their customers and diversifying their business
offer to meet their customers’ needs helped them achieve this
growth.
Marty outlined
the key business lessons Real Groovy Records has learnt along
the way and explained their plans for the future.

2006 feedback
In 2006 saw the table top expo and networking sessions a-buzz with activity, with members promoting their products and services to other local businesses and attendees busy networking over drinks and nibbles.
Feedback from all involved has been phenomenal with
extremely positive comments from first time attendees to
Business Club regulars.
